    Ha,
As a self professed "NOOB", I have to agree. While researching audio information I find all sorts of misleading comments. Maybe it's like the old saying " believe half of what you see and nothing of what you read". I agree the A7 is a system. Would the A7 cabinet with JBL or the like components other than ALTEC still be a true A7?

This is why I tune into forums like this one. There are experienced folks here I trust for correct interpretation of audio equipment. Not all of us are experts.

That's for sure....... I don't know how many things on ebay I've seen the seller admit they didn't know who made it, then say "maybe JBL, Altec?", or something like that.....even worse is when I tell them what it is, or is not, and they don't change the ad. What I really find annoying, and report, is when they say "fit's Altec EV JBL". Usually it'll be a cabinet designed for a 15" woofer, so of course it's likely to physically be able to fit an Altec, EV, JBL, or any other 15" driver!

Well to this lister's credit he did put footnotes at the bottom after a number of emails from Altec-heads. And he gives the dimension (I asked).
